Air Conditioning Installation Terms & Conditions

OVERVIEW
Welcome to Akita Air Conditioning & Refrigeration ("Akita AC", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and services, including the purchase of air conditioning installations.

By using our website or purchasing our services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Installation Scope

Fixed price installation products include:

  • Supply and installation of the selected system
  • Up to 3 metres of pipework (unless otherwise stated)
  • Standard installation based on the options selected at checkout

These prices are based on a standard installation setup.

2. Additional Works & Charges

Additional charges may apply where the installation falls outside of standard scope, including but not limited to:

  • Additional pipework beyond 3 metres
  • Difficult access or working at height
  • Specialist brackets or mounting solutions
  • Electrical upgrades or new power supply
  • Condensate pumps
  • Non-standard trunking or routing

All additional costs will be discussed and agreed before work proceeds.

3. Customer Responsibility

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • The information provided is accurate
  • You have selected the correct installation options (including pipework and access)
  • You understand the installation scope and limitations

If site conditions differ from those selected at checkout, pricing may be adjusted accordingly.

4. Surveys & System Suitability

Our sizing calculator and product descriptions are provided as a guide only.

We reserve the right to:

  • Recommend alternative system sizes
  • Adjust installation requirements
  • Carry out a site survey where necessary

Final system suitability depends on factors such as room size, insulation, ceiling height, glazing and usage.

5. Electrical Requirements

Unless stated otherwise, installation assumes a suitable electrical supply is available.

Any additional electrical work required is not included unless confirmed in writing.

6. Access & Site Conditions

The customer must provide:

  • Safe and clear access to the installation area
  • Suitable working conditions

Delays or additional visits due to restricted access or site issues may result in additional charges.

7. Orders & Acceptance

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase.

We reserve the right to accept or decline any order.

Orders are only confirmed once:

  • Payment is received
  • Installation details are verified

8. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are fixed at the time of order
  • Deposits (if applicable) secure your installation slot
  • Remaining balances must be paid as agreed

We reserve the right to adjust pricing if installation requirements differ from those selected.

9. Cancellations

If you cancel:

  • Deposits may be retained where materials or time have been allocated
  • Late cancellations may incur charges

10. Warranty

  • 12 month workmanship guarantee included
  • Manufacturer warranties subject to their terms

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Akita AC shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our services.
